Terrain: Characteristic features are crisscrossing great mountains and great
rivers with numerous pristine lakes and artesian springs; change in elevation
from riverbank to glacial summit is 3900M. Fauna & Flora: 73% of the
territory is covered by moss covered primordial forests of pine, spruce and fir;
hundreds of species of native plants (rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, lilies
& orchids), birds and woodland animals (some are listed endangered). Herbs
and Fungi 2000 species of rare and precious medicinal herbs and fungi grown in
the wild and native blue spiral algae is cultivated in the lakes.
